Learn to read body language to get what you want out of negotiations
Everyone (except for those who don't really care, perhaps) can improve their communication skills. Some are already accomplished communicators, negotiators, leaders, and even manipulators, but there is a lot to learn in the area of communication skills and it would be arrogant to think that we are all perfect in this field! There are many types of communication, and individuals who possess above average communication skills are notable by there use of many different techniques to get their points across and succeed in what they are trying to do. Body language nonverbal communication is one of the main skills that successful negotiators and leaders use, for example – they look at the person with whom they are speaking, and read their body language to determine what they are thinking and feeling. Getting good at reading body language can do a lot to improve your ability to get what you want from people – whether you are playing poker or just trying to get a raise, body language non verbal communication is a big part of the equation!
