At the end of August 2017, Hurricane Harvey brought devastation to Houston and much of southeast Texas. Much of the community we serve has been affected in some way by the storm and flooding.
After visiting homes and seeing families living in desperate conditions in their destroyed home, we knew we could not simply rely FEMA to take care of our community. For this reason, we initiated the 4 Others: Harvey Support effort, where individuals, regardless of age, status or economic standing, can find assistance for filing their claims and for demolition and rebuilding of their homes.
Through Harvey Support, victims of the storm can join the Adopt-a-Home program. Through this program, we are connect homeowners with willing donors. Donations help purchase tools, supplies, and plumbing to help with rebuilding flooded homes.
