General Liability: An Important Part Of Your Business Plan.

A few months back, I was courted by one of my current employer’s competitors.

They were seeking to add a salesman familiar with one of their product lines and one of their largest customers using it.

At first was a bit skeptical, being they were a competitor and all. But after meeting with the general manager, some of those feelings left.

The only hitch I felt would be an issue was when he informed me that I needed my own General Liability policy as a 1099 employee.

And so my skepticism was proven. They didn’t want an employee. They were after a body to service one account without the exposure of salary and insurance.

Something for nothing I thought.
