What is the sarbanes oxley act?
The sarbanes oxley act is a federal law that was implemented in the year 2002 on the 30th of July. There are 11 sections under this legislation, but not all of them are given an equal amount of importance by the law. The sections that are usually seen as the most important are sections: 302, 401, 404, 409, 802 and 906. The sarbanes oxley act is mandatory to all publicly owned organizations within the boundaries of the United States of America. It was implemented with the help of two senators after whom the legislation was named.
