My Goad is to Help Children
There is nothing worse than your child’s teacher tell you that they are going to retain your child because their reading level is not high enough to go to the next level. This can be very traumatic for a child to watch his friends go to another grade and they are left behind. I am a teacher and I have see this happen too many times. If I see a child is struggling and in jeopardy of failing, I immediately contact the parent for a conference to make sure they are aware of the situation. A suggestion that I make to many parents is to try the phonics program. I have seen it do wonders for many children, and I feel it is a worthwhile investment.
