Types of Spill Kit
Since there are so many liquids and chemicals to handle, there are also a variety of spill kits to handle them. In fact all these equipment are well stated in the Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Guidelines which is under the implementation of The Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
The level one spill kit is that of non hazardous elements. It is necessary that before responders should take action they would be able to figure out which substances are hazardous and which are not.
The second level spill kit is the mobile caddie spill kit which is meant for the small and medium size spills. It is imperative that the personnel should follow the spill kit training manual before the clean-up.
The next type is the level two spill kit which is used to handle those that might be toxic. This can range from moderate to large spills which can have impact on the area such as debris. This should be handled by those that are skilled for it.
